Meet Dr. Soo

Noland D. Soo, DDS, MS

I love the positive changes I bring to my patients’ smiles and their lives, and am happy that we can make a difference for others from all backgrounds and walks of life. My focus is to provide our patients with the best treatment possible and to make their experience comfortable and enjoyable.

We continually strive to improve the quality of our care and bring it to you the easiest way possible. Your treatment is tailored to fit your needs, and we work closely with your dentist to provide you with the best possible care and service. My staff and I look forward to creating beautiful smiles for you, your family, and your friends.

In the Practice

Since 1989, I have enjoyed my work creating beautiful, healthy smiles that last a lifetime. Often, the smiles I shape improve a patient’s self-esteem and give him or her a lasting, positive outlook for the future.

Our office has a fun work environment in which my team and I coordinate our many years of experience to deliver excellent orthodontic care. I am fortunate to be able to work with a wonderful team that helps me give patients the smiles they deserve. We treat all our patients like family and work hard to build lasting, trusting relationships.

My team is caring and always in tune with local events, happenings, and people. They treat patients like family, not like just another patient or body, and they understand what it’s like to go through orthodontic treatment, because some were patients of mine themselves!

We are dedicated to making sure our patients have the nicest smiles and receive the best care possible.

Education

My education in becoming an orthodontic specialist has taken me through well-regarded programs and institutions:

  • Bachelor of Science – UC Irvine, 1981
  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery – UCLA, 1985
  • General practice residency – UCLA, 1986
  • Master of Science and certificate in orthodontics – University of Nebraska, 1989

Continuing Education

Without the lifelong commitment to learning and improving one’s craft, I would not be able to provide patients with service that is truly individualized. I routinely attend continuing education courses to refine my expertise and improve the skills needed to give you or your child that perfect smile!

My patients inspire me to become better at my profession, and I am able to teach them how to take better care of themselves and their family’s dental health. My continuing education keeps me up to date on dental and orthodontic advances and allows me to introduce the most advanced and efficient techniques so our patients receive the best possible care.

Family and Community

I was raised in Los Angeles and have lived in Southern California my entire life. My wife Julie and I reside in Irvine and enjoy the time we spend with our two sons, Ryan and Todd. In my spare time, I enjoy golf, running, and most of all, spending time with family.

As an active member of our community, I work at the Assistance League of Newport-Mesa, to provide orthodontic care for underprivileged children.

I am also a member of several professional organizations, both locally and nationally.
