Our greatest goal is to give you the healthy, straight, beautiful smile that you've always wanted. We understand that choosing to receive orthodontic care is a big decision, and we respect your reasons for wanting to improve the way you look and feel. Our practice will work with you every step of the way to make sure that your orthodontic care is as rewarding as possible. Our practice utilizes the latest technology, offering a variety of safe and gentle treatment options to give you the customized, individual care you deserve.

Every smile starts with an initial consultation!

Your initial consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complimentary complete initial exam, and find out which treatment option will best meet your needs. During this one hour appointment, we will determine:

  • What are your and/or your dentist's orthodontic concerns?
  • How can orthodontics address those concerns?
  • Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth,
  • tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
  • What is the best customized treatment plan for you or your child?
  • Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
  • How long will treatment take?
  • How much will it cost?
  • What are my payment options?

Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all of the information that you need to move forward with treatment.

Please contact our office to schedule your initial consultation.

What happens after the initial consultation?

You're one step closer to achieving the smile you've always wanted! If Dr. Soo determines that you or your child is ready for orthodontic treatment, diagnostic models can be taken at the consultation appointment. We will also ask you to have some orthodontic x-rays and photographs taken at a local, independent lab.

Dr. Soo will then thoroughly analyze this information and formulate treatment options based on your specific needs and concerns. Dr. Soo feels it is important to analyze each patient's specific needs, because in-depth planning leads to superior results and higher patient satisfaction.

At the treatment consultation appointment, your customized treatment plan and treatment options will be discussed along with time frames and financial arrangements. Dr. Soo insists that his patients begin their treatment with a concise and clear understanding of what their treatment will involve, how long it will take, and how much it will cost. Oftentimes your treatment can be started at this appointment! This appointment generally takes about an hour, and during this time our team will be available to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible.

Scheduling Appointments

Visiting the orthodontist about every four to eight weeks is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. Our practice will work with you to make sure that your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know what days and times work best for you.

We understand that "life happens"! If you're running late or need to reschedule, please let us know, and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. When you're ready to schedule your first appointment, contact our office and our friendly scheduling coordinators will assist you. We're looking forward to working with you!

Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment

It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist at least once every six months during your orthodontic treatment for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
